“Put that down. Put. That. Down!â€? I am currently pleading (sternly) with a four year-old. She is dangling a cup of water over the top of a five-hundred dollar scanner. She is not my child so I can’t grab her little arm and wrench the paper cup from her. Instead I hold my notebook under the cup and lift until the cup is propped on the notebook.
